Gettysburg of Abortion (South Dakota)

Letter From Dr. Allen Unruh,
This one of the most important appeal letters you will have received in a long time regarding the ultimate issue – Human Life. I want to explain why!

Planned Parenthood filed a lawsuit against the state of South Dakota this last week. They are claiming the new South Dakota House Bill 1217 law is the greatest threat to abortion in the country and will set the stage for the beginning of the end of abortion as we know it. They are ignoring the language of the legistlation signed by our governor and spinning different meaning to the language of the legislation to deceive the American public.
Their intent is to demonize and destroy the Alpha Center in South Dakota in any way possible while ignoring the testimony of women who were victims of their deception and what really goes on in their abortuaries.

I watched the documentary, "Gettysburg," this past Memorial Day weekend. Gettysburg was the battleground that turned the tide of the Civil War and emboldened the North that they could defeat General Lee even though the cost was great. It was the bloodiest battle in American history to determine whether one human being should be able to own another as mere property and whether states had the right to protect their citizens' inalienable right to life and liberty. It was a battle over the true meaning of freedom. President Lincoln considered the Declaration of Independence the Bible of politics. For if protecting human dignity is not inalienable, the words in the Declaration of Independence have no meaning.
Make no mistake; the stakes could never be higher. With Obama Care in the wings, if the right to life is not legally considered INALIENABLE (GOD-GIVEN) then the life of every human being and its value will be determined by nameless, faceless, and heartless bureaucrats to nobody and based only on global budgets. Like Hitler who called his men the Liberation Army, all this destruction is made in the name of freedom. Euthanasia promises to make abortion look like a Sunday school picnic in just a few short years. For that reason, South Dakota is the Gettysburg of our time and we have the ability to turn the debate of the true role of government and the real meaning of the Declaration of Independence and freedom.

South Dakota is the only state in the nation that has outlawed abortion twice. We are the only state in which the legislature commissioned a task force to study abortion since Roe V Wade. "The Abortion Task Force Report" was compiled after hundreds of testimonies and 3,500 pages of scientific research. It is the most compelling document, objectively demonstrating the horrendous effects of abortion on women and the cultural and economic impact of the wanton destruction of the unborn.

Like Wilberforce who fought the slave trade for 30 years and finally developed a strategy to win, this new legislation is a devastating blow to the radical agenda of NARAL, Planned Parenthood, and the ACLU. They are pulling out all the stops to fund their lawsuit and to demonize the pregnancy care services of Alpha Center.

What is the threat?
The Alpha Center's services are FREE. We offer FREE ultrasounds to any abortion-minded woman who desires it. We offer full time client advocacy to answer any questions and offer services that include help throughout their pregnancy, an Earn While You Learn program to receive baby supplies, and basic necessities of parenting. We offer parenting classes and even post abortion counseling. Our hotline counselors are available 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. Plus we have many volunteers with a heart for women and the unborn. We have a mobile clinic in a bus that we need to make available throughout the state to meet the needs of people where they are with the latest in ultrasound equipment. The Alpha Center has dozens of medical doctors who are willing to work with us to answer any medical questions women may have. All of these services are a major threat to the bottom line of Planned Parenthood.

Undercover reports at Planned Parenthood clinics throughout the country have revealed that they protect rapists, child molesters, and sex trafficking. We know they won't police themselves. Their testimony before the 8th Circuit Court revealed they provide no professional counseling prior to the abortion and do not screen for coercion. In essence, Planned Parenthood cannot be trusted to police themselves. There is no doctor/patient relationship established and every woman has to pay cash up front prior to ever seeing the doctor for the first time. That's why the South Dakota legislature was compelled to respond by protecting women, through offering a thorough understanding of this life and death issue and the community resources available should they choose to carry their baby to term.

Alpha Center has never been busier and the financial needs of the Alpha Center have never been greater. If the Alpha Center cannot meet its financial obligations this summer, all the 27 years in this battle to protect women and the inalienable right to life could be defeated.

Sergeant Joshua Chamberlain was known fo his courage. He would never be shot in the back. He had the tenacity of a bulldog with rabies. His father and brothers were dead from battle in the Civil War. When the South was about to come up the hill for the 4th time he asked one of his lieutenants how much ammunition was left and he was told only one round per soldier. He said, "We have to retreat sir, we have to retreat." But Joshua Chamberlain said, "If we retreat we will be shot in the back and I refuse to be defeated in that way." He instructed his soldiers to quickly "LOAD BAYONETS." All his men came charging out of the trees with bayonets on the end of their rifles and the south knew they must have reinforcements or they would never be doing this as they were caught by surprise and turned around to run. That decisive battle was won due to the courage of Joshua Chamberlain.

Winston Churchill said that courage is the most important characteristic because all other characteristics depend on it.

John Quincy Adams was the only president who ran for Congress after he was president. And he ran on one issue: SLAVERY. And slavery was such a contentious issue back then, just like abortion is today, that the entire Congress voted to censure him. He kept putting in legislation anyway and they finally asked him: "Why are you doing this?" He replied, "DUTY IS OURS, THE RESULTS ARE GODS." John Quincy Adams died before slavery was ended but he became the mentor to a young Congressman from Illinois who he took under his wings for instruction. That young Congressman was Abe Lincoln.
What we do here today can determine the course of human history and alter the destiny of mankind. Now is our moment to be courageous.

This is a time in history where I am asking for every committed pro-life citizen in America to invest in the battle of the century. We are literally fighting for the heart and soul of America. The Alpha Center must have $150,000.00 to meet its financial obligations throughout the summer if we are going to be able to follow through to the finish line.

Your contribution will provide the ammunition to fight this battle for life and human dignity. I am asking pro-life leaders throughout America to focus on the greatest concentrated effort since 1973. A mile of highway costs one million dollars. The average person makes $3 million in a lifetime. We have killed 53 million in this holocaust. Twenty-nine million would be in the workforce right now using their God-given talent. The Vietnam Memorial would be 66 miles long if it represented the unborn. South Dakota is the battleground that continues to embolden the nation. THE KILLING STOPS HERE!

The Alpha Center is offering a Historic Print to those who donate $150 or more. "This unique print is much more than mere artwork. It reflects a message of hope with all the symbols of liberty: the Statue of Liberty, the Liberty Bell, the American Eagle, and the sacred cross between the presidents. And above it is the hand of God holding an unborn child its eyes open."
