Set Theory on the Trinity

Many Theologians are not Mathematicians. But Theologies are really into Science. For some reason there is a greater cross over between Theology and Science than any other fields unless you Separate Math and Physic into different fields. But Set Theory at its basic is the idea of taking sets of numbers or things and showing relationships. We see this in Matrices or Venn-Diagrams. Now Theologians generally speaking would use a Venn-Diagram to describe the Trinity.

A Theologian would usually talk about three circles one being the Father and another being the Holy Spirit and the Other being the Son. Thus, where these circles connect that is then called God. But this means that there is part of the Son which is not God. Part of the Holy Spirit which is not God. And part of the Father which is not God. This is not true. Rather you take a list of Sets. Take Set God which contains all the attributes of God. Then you take a Set called Holy Spirit it would contain all the attributes of God and you may add other things which the Holy Spirit does. These are not parts of the Holy Spirit that are not God but further descriptions of his personhood.

This means you can have set Father which includes God and Creator or something like that. But the Son will have God plus Man. Yet, when you talk about the Father Son and Holy Spirit United together you still get God. Each Person at the same time is distinct but can not be separated from God. This is hard to describe without a Picture.

God = {Omnipresent, Omnipotent, Omniscient, ...}

Father = {Creator, Omnipresent, Omnipotent, ...}

Son = {Man, Redeemer, Omnipresent, Omnipotent, ...}

Father ∩ Son ∩ Holy Spirit = God

Father U Son U Holy Spirit = Creator, Man, Redeemer, Sanctifier

This then just helps further to outline the different parts of the Creed. Each person in the Holy Trinity has a distinction but they are all God and not yet Three gods but One God. (Hold up do not get started with that stuff that Creed takes forever to read.)

This is just a way using Set Theory which is very similar to Venn-Diagrams but it is hard to make your Circles connect to this extent. If you want to go Further you can add things like unbegotten, begotten, and proceeding. There are also many different attributes of God that are not listed. Another fun turn would be to look at the connection between Man as a set and Sinful Man, I don't think it is just adding sin to the set. Well maybe that may be for a different time.
Thank you for reading this.
