I Believe in God?

There are many Christians out there who say they believe in God. I am also told that all that matters is that I believe in God. Some will even say all that matters is that you have Faith in Christ Jesus as your Lord and Savior. But the question in my mind is what does that really mean?

I have to ask you is this really enough. I believe in Jesus Christ who died for the people of this world. Does that mean I believe that Jesus was God and Man? Does that mean that he and the Father are one with the Holy Spirit? Who is the God that you must believe in to be saved.

You can simplify your faith to the point where you welcome in all people everywhere. Jesus says the way to hell is wide and I believe that we are starting to get these messages inversed. The way to Heaven is narrow. The way to life everlasting is very narrow. There is only one way. Jesus Christ true God and True Man one with the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. But when does our definition of Christianity become too simple or too narrow?

Do you have to believe everything I believe in order to be saved? Do you have to know all the verses of Scripture? Do you have to understand the full counsel of God? No, because that is making requirements. There are no requirements we can live up to for salvation. We all have fallen short of the Glory of God. Our Salvation also must be entirely in God's hands otherwise, we will fail or boast. Thus, we believe him who has revealed himself to us. Some of us have been able to see more or understand more that does not make us anymore saved.

But the more you know, the greater responsibility you have to help keep others from falling into error. You are responsible not for your next door neighbor but to present the full truth to all you come in contact with. If you know that something is wrong it is your duty to speak. It is your duty to explain who you believe in. So make sure you explain that with every bumper sticker and every conversation you have. I do not just believe in Christ or Jesus or God. I believe in Jesus Christ True God and True man who died and rose again to claim me as his very own, and Father Son and Holy Spirit have created redeemed and sanctified me in the true faith for life everlasting with a Bodily resurrection.
