How Old is your Guardian Angel (Part Two)
You can read the other post about how old your Guardian Angel is. You received your Guardian Angel when you became a Christian. But like I said before my Guardian Angel is older than I am and at the same time younger than I am. Maybe I was wrong about that second part. I have to ask when was I elected by God to be his own? When were Angels created?
First thing is first. Ephesians tells me that I was elected before the foundations of the earth were made. Before God created me or the earth he claimed me. He knew me. This is a very profound statement, not by me but by St Paul. St Paul tells us that we are God's possession because he predestined us.
This means he also must have predestined our Guardian Angel. If he knew I was going to be a Christian and he was going to call me to be his very own. He must have known I would need a Guardian Angel to protect me. Therefore, before the foundations of the Earth he knew he needed to create a Guardian Angel for me.
God created heaven and earth in Six Days according to Genesis Chapter one. We know God created all the angels and fallen angels. He created all the angels as pure and holy like the rest of Creation. But at some point in time some of these Angels turned on God. (Don't ask me specifics because I was not there.)
Which of the six days of Creation did God created Angels. Well I do not know which day of Creation. I know that God created the heavens and the earth everything visible and invisible. This is confessed in the Nicene Creed. I believe this with all my heart. I also believe we confess the creation of Angels in the Apostles Creed. When we say God created heaven and earth, this means more than just land and sky. God created all things in heaven and upon the earth. God created Angels. He created them Good and not Evil.
Now where is this found in Scripture. I would point you to the first Article of the Apostles Creed and the First verse of the bible. Genesis 1:1 In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. If you can recognize the creation of Angels through the words of the First article of the Apostles Creed then in the first Verse of the bible you can also see the creation of Angels. One of God's first acts in creation is to create all those invisible things, and the last thing God creates is humanity.
Thus, my Guardian Angel was created at the beginning of time. I am going to say that is older than I am. Yet, he did not find that relationship with me until after I was Baptized. Your situation may be a little different. But either way I would say your Guardian Angel is older than you and yet younger than you. Maybe I am wrong.
Thank you for reading this.
