You are Witnesses

I was recently revealed something very great.  I always enjoy learning new things.  It brings me great joy when I find something new in the scriptures.  I had something new shown to me this last week.  In Acts 1:8 and even Luke 24:48, Jesus makes a declarative statement, "You are witnesses."  This is a simple statement.  This does not mean we may possibly be witnesses.  This does not mean sometimes we are called to witness.  It means you are in a state of being witnesses.

All those who stood with Jesus in the Upper room that evening are witnesses concerning Jesus Christ.  They are witnesses who have had their minds opened in Luke 24.  They are witnesses to the Ascension into Heaven in Acts 1.  These disciples are witnesses, not because they have been called to be witnesses.  They are witnesses because they were there.  Because of what they have seen and heard.

Likewise, All those who believe in Jesus Christ are called to witnesses.  But it is more than that, they are witnesses.  You are Christ's witnesses.  Jesus Christ has died on the cross for the forgiveness of sins.  Jesus Christ is risen from the Dead and lives to all eternity.  Jesus Christ will return to judge both the living and the dead.  Jesus Christ has opened your minds to His Word and truth.

You are witnesses.  It is not just when you are in the church.  It is not just when you are doing devotions at home.  It is not just when you are tucking your children in at night.  You are witnesses.  Everything you do in your life bears witness to your faith and Life in Jesus Christ our Lord.  He has given you life and salvation through Jesus Christ our Lord.  He has made you his witnesses.  This is not your calling but simply who you are as a Christian.  Thank you.

Gettysburg of Abortion (South Dakota)

Biblical Marriage

Marriage is defined in Genesis as a man clinging to his wife and the two becoming one flesh. This definition is standardized even in the New Testament by both Jesus and St Paul. Therefore, we have generally said Marriage is defined as one Man and one Woman being joined together in a life long union. Most people think that this Marriage union is created through a man dressed in black and woman dressed in white walking down an aisle to be joined together before some kind of altar. But this is only a ceremony of marriage.
