Addicted to ...

Can you be an alcoholic who has never taken a drink, or at least never got drunk? Can you be a drug addict that has never taken more than a Tylenol or Advil? Can you be a sex addict that is still a virgin? I have long thought that we are all addicts of whom some of us have not committed the outword act.

There are many people who have real problems with addiction, and I do not want to belittle their struggle. But if you do not face the real problem your are facing with addiction it is going to get worse for you. Addiction has been described about as something you can not stop thinking about, or something that consumes your life.

Every human being on this planet is struggling with an addiction. They do not want to believ they are addicted to it. It consumes every thought word and deed they perform. They are addicted to sin. Here is the thing there is not one of us who is not 100% sinful and unclean. And all have committed an act of sin.

There are people who can be consumed with thoughts of drinking and never drink, thoughts of sex but never actual have sexual intercourse, or thoughts of drug use and never actually take drugs. Most of these people will not have these thoughts consume their life in one area, but in all these various areas, which means they are addicted to sin.

Here is a crazy thought: you are an addict! But there is help for you. Jesus Christ has died for your sinful addiction. He is willing to wash you in his blood, and cleanse you from all unrighteousness. Thank you.

The Death of the Holy Innocents

Many people die for what they believe in. Some die for righteous people. But these chosen few die on behalf of the one who will save us all. These children have all sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God. But these children die on account of the Christ Child. Many people have been martyred because they confessed the faith. These children did not stand or even get a chance to stand. They were cut down because they were seen as the threat to King Herod. Rachael mourns for her children. Rachael died giving life to Benjamin near Bethlehem. Rachael now weeps as all the children of this town are slaughtered. But just as Rachael died giving birth to life. These children die to protect the Christ Child who left the town and will die to give all of us life. St Peter once said that he would not allow Christ to go to the cross. Biblical Marriage

Marriage is defined in Genesis as a man clinging to his wife and the two becoming one flesh. This definition is standardized even in the New Testament by both Jesus and St Paul. Therefore, we have generally said Marriage is defined as one Man and one Woman being joined together in a life long union. Most people think that this Marriage union is created through a man dressed in black and woman dressed in white walking down an aisle to be joined together before some kind of altar. But this is only a ceremony of marriage.
