Job our Father
Just was looking around for something to read, and opened my bible up to Job chapter one. Something struck me as very interesting. Job is the great example of a Father. Most of the time when I think of Job, I think of his righteous deeds and remaining faithful even to the point of near death. Job knows his redeemer lives and never falters in the faith.
But when Job is described before Satan comes and attacks, he is a great Father. He allows his children to party and commit evil, but the next morning he is ready to offer sacrifices for their forgiveness. Whether he knows his children have sinned or not, he offers the sacrifice. He provides for his children, even by trying to protect their eternal soul.
This is a great example of our Father. God is the one who provides the Sacrifice for our sins. He is the one who offers it up even when we do not even know we need it. It does not matter whether we actively sinned or not, because we have all fallen short of the glory of God. God provides us with the Sacrifice of His only Son Jesus Christ.
Job is an example not only for Satan to see the faith of God's people. But God points to Job as an example of a good Father and he treats others in a similar way in which God treats us. Even further down the rabbit hole you will notice Satan attacks Job in a similar way he will try to attack God.
Satan condemns God's people and God will suffer all but Satan will never be able to kill God. Even when Christ dies he rises again. When he rises he is given new children and new flocks. Job a reflection of God.
