Overseer Removal (Part one)
There are three reasons why a Pastor should be removed from office. I would like to focus on just one in this particular point in time. Many people look up to their Pastors and desire them to always speak the truth. I do not know about every word that came out of St Paul's or St Peter's mouth. But I do know that not every word that comes out of my Pastor's mouth is truth. These pastors need to be questioned. People in the pew need to ask questions and clarify points of misunderstanding.
If your Pastor is teaching Falsely, he makes himself a False Prophet or False teacher. This is one reason for a Pastor to be removed from his position. This false teaching must be proved. This false teaching must be admonished. This false teaching needs to be confronted. And the Pastor must reject your admonishment or confrontation. Thus, it is not just stating false things, but teaching and persistently remaining false.
I would hope that people would investigate the words their pastor gives you. I would also hope that people who read this would think about what I say. People may say something not 100% true at times. There may also be comments that are not fully understood. Therefore, even the sermon of a very good pastor can have a comment that sounds very close to false teaching. Especially in the Lutheran Church were people love paradoxes. These statements can sound very in correct but be clearly stated.
