Overseer Removal (Part Two)

There are three reasons why a Pastor should be removed from office. I would like to focus on just one in this particular point in time. This is something that not only Pastors struggle with but all Christians. This is leading a truly godly life. I have always questioned this one. Because part of our Doctrine is that all people are sinners. All people fall short of the glory of God. All people are ungodly outside of Christ. But Christians live in Christ. They live in Christ and do good things. Pastors are required to be an example of a Godly life to others.

Does this mean if a Pastor swears he should be removed? If a Pastor gambles is that enough to remove him from office? Well really it matters to what extent is ungodly mean ungodly? Here your Pastor should live up to the standards that St Paul sets before us. St Paul reminds us of the deeds of darkness. St Paul also reminds us that we must put aside our old way of living and live to Christ. Here is the real point.

God desires his leaders for the church to be an example. Pastors are to be examples. But again so are all Christians. Pastors should be better Christians than others. They should also be people who know and read scripture. These are important not just for the way we live, but also to help build up others in the Christian faith. If you can't do it, how am I going to be able to do it? Please help not only your fellow Christians live better lives, but help your Pastor live a better life. Thank you.

The Death of the Holy Innocents

Many people die for what they believe in. Some die for righteous people. But these chosen few die on behalf of the one who will save us all. These children have all sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God. But these children die on account of the Christ Child. Many people have been martyred because they confessed the faith. These children did not stand or even get a chance to stand. They were cut down because they were seen as the threat to King Herod. Rachael mourns for her children. Rachael died giving life to Benjamin near Bethlehem. Rachael now weeps as all the children of this town are slaughtered. But just as Rachael died giving birth to life. These children die to protect the Christ Child who left the town and will die to give all of us life. St Peter once said that he would not allow Christ to go to the cross. Biblical Marriage

Marriage is defined in Genesis as a man clinging to his wife and the two becoming one flesh. This definition is standardized even in the New Testament by both Jesus and St Paul. Therefore, we have generally said Marriage is defined as one Man and one Woman being joined together in a life long union. Most people think that this Marriage union is created through a man dressed in black and woman dressed in white walking down an aisle to be joined together before some kind of altar. But this is only a ceremony of marriage. The Bride and bridegroom are actually joined together through what is known as consummation, or proper sexual relations.  Thus, St Paul can even talk in reference to a marriage bed.
