Do Demons Die

I love the story of the man possessed by demons. He was forced to live in a grave yard. He is healed by Jesus and Jesus sends the Demons into pigs. But the question is what happens to the demons next. Some think the demons die with the pigs. Some think the demons escape to haunt someone else, because the pigs are dead. Some recognize that demons are evil angels and thus eternal beings thus they can not die. So while they ask not to be sent back to Hell, when the pigs die this is where they end up anyway.

Now the focus of the text is on the man who has his demons removed. The other side of the text is the people's fear of Jesus because he killed all their pigs. But do demons die? There is not much people know about demons. I would be interested to hear from any demonologists out there, but I fear you might think you know more than you can actually know for sure. If demons are fallen Angels like I believe, then they can not die but they can live in hell.

Legion is the name of this group of demons. They have found a nice warm place to live, but when the Son of God comes from the Most High things change. I do not think I have an answer, but I lean towards the demons killing the pigs. They kill the pigs in order to escape from this torment and haunt others. But I can not read the minds of Demons or God. Thank you.

  1. Angels and fallen angels can die, even the death of Lucifer is predicted in isaiah 14;12-17 and Ezekiel 28:12-17. Only God has immortality (1 Timothy 6:16). The difference between angels and humans is the life spam. It seems angels can live thousands of years. In Genesis the longest lived human was Methuselah which lived around 900 years. A modern prophet in a vision saw Lucifer's real face and it was noticed his face was beautiful but he was old, and his edge face skin was hanging. And he has a big forehead. A Canadian ex-satanist gave good insights about fallen angels ranks and work in the supernatural (read: trip to the Supernatural by Roger Morneau, Also, "an exorcist tells his story by priest Gabrielle Amorth", and the Great controversy by Ellen White.
