Practicing Christian

It is great when people desire to become a christian. But there are many people that struggle with the concept of faith. I love the father who comes to Jesus and says "I believe help my unbelief." But the encouragement to practice being a Christian seems a little strange.

Many people say Practice what you preach, but the truth is that some times we need to practice before we preach. If we practice being a Christian this would mean going to church, praying, and leading a better life. These while may not come from faith to start but can build a strong faith.

The real problem is when people are practicing becoming a Christian. They have been Christians for years but are still practicing. This also can relate to people who are only acting like they are Christians. Practice means actually doing something. But most of the Christians in name only are not actually doing something.

I would much better have a Practicing Christian who does something. People need to act like a Christian and they will become not only better people, but maybe even develop faith. Keep Practicing. Thank you.

Biblical Marriage

Marriage is defined in Genesis as a man clinging to his wife and the two becoming one flesh. This definition is standardized even in the New Testament by both Jesus and St Paul. Therefore, we have generally said Marriage is defined as one Man and one Woman being joined together in a life long union. Most people think that this Marriage union is created through a man dressed in black and woman dressed in white walking down an aisle to be joined together before some kind of altar. But this is only a ceremony of marriage. The Bride and bridegroom are actually joined together through what is known as consummation, or proper sexual relations.  Thus, St Paul can even talk in reference to a marriage bed.
