Dust off your Friends!

Interesting discussion tonight about dusting off old relationships. We have always put people in the past. We stop thinking about them. Sometimes we even think that they no longer exist. But the real point is to remember, those people we were able to share the Gospel with. God has placed many people in our lives. He has placed them there so that we may share the forgiveness of God.

There are people in our lives just like the old pair of tennis shoes or chores in the back of our closet. All those things in the back of our closet are left to correct dust. Their are people who have also been turned to dust in our lives. People we have been waiting for the proper time to reveal the Gospel to them. We need to take the opprotunity when it comes.

Part of this is remaining active in other people's lives. Christians in the first century would hide their beliefs from others. They would not openly tell other people because of the threat to their lives. Yet, Christians today in a free society still feel threatened. People are getting covered with dust in our lives. But Christians need to start looking for the chance to dust off their friends and share the Gospel with them.

Hopefully you will see more people without dust in your lives. People you can continue to help with their troubles of life. It does not matter how long, as long as they are still alive they can be saved. Thank you.

The Death of the Holy Innocents

Many people die for what they believe in. Some die for righteous people. But these chosen few die on behalf of the one who will save us all. These children have all sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God. But these children die on account of the Christ Child. Many people have been martyred because they confessed the faith. These children did not stand or even get a chance to stand. They were cut down because they were seen as the threat to King Herod. Rachael mourns for her children. Rachael died giving life to Benjamin near Bethlehem. Rachael now weeps as all the children of this town are slaughtered. But just as Rachael died giving birth to life. These children die to protect the Christ Child who left the town and will die to give all of us life. St Peter once said that he would not allow Christ to go to the cross. Biblical Marriage

Marriage is defined in Genesis as a man clinging to his wife and the two becoming one flesh. This definition is standardized even in the New Testament by both Jesus and St Paul. Therefore, we have generally said Marriage is defined as one Man and one Woman being joined together in a life long union. Most people think that this Marriage union is created through a man dressed in black and woman dressed in white walking down an aisle to be joined together before some kind of altar. But this is only a ceremony of marriage. The Bride and bridegroom are actually joined together through what is known as consummation, or proper sexual relations.  Thus, St Paul can even talk in reference to a marriage bed.
