How can you Believe ... ?

Many people ask me how people can not believe in God? Most of the time this is related to the struggles of life. How can people handle pain without God? Simple answer is to watch House the TV show. It is easy to deal with pain and suffering when you realize that is the natural way of things. The world has a natural course of things. This is really easy for people to believe.

People can convince themselves that God does not exist. People find it easy to live with the understanding that this is all there is. People are confident with their lives when they only face the worlds judgments. It is easy to believe in a God that judges rightly all things. One would think that a God who knows all things would judge with righteousness and honor. But I have to ask how can you believe in a God that accepts everything?

How can people believe in a God with low standards? How can people believe that He will not judge all people? How can people think he would not judge them all the same? People who don't believe in God do not confuse me. People who say they believe in Christ and do not talk about sin, they confuse me. Christ tells us he is the only way to heaven. This would make sense, but some people believe he is only one way.

God has very high standards. God is a God who makes us alive. He is the one who saves us from death. How do other people not believe the truth of Scripture? God is Father who created us, the Son who redeemed us a lost and condemned person, and the Holy Spirit who calls gathers and enlightens us. Thanks be to God for calling me by faith. But I do not understand why others call themselves Christians yet do not believe in the truth.

The Death of the Holy Innocents

Many people die for what they believe in. Some die for righteous people. But these chosen few die on behalf of the one who will save us all. These children have all sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God. But these children die on account of the Christ Child. Many people have been martyred because they confessed the faith. These children did not stand or even get a chance to stand. They were cut down because they were seen as the threat to King Herod. Rachael mourns for her children. Rachael died giving life to Benjamin near Bethlehem. Rachael now weeps as all the children of this town are slaughtered. But just as Rachael died giving birth to life. These children die to protect the Christ Child who left the town and will die to give all of us life. St Peter once said that he would not allow Christ to go to the cross. Biblical Marriage

Marriage is defined in Genesis as a man clinging to his wife and the two becoming one flesh. This definition is standardized even in the New Testament by both Jesus and St Paul. Therefore, we have generally said Marriage is defined as one Man and one Woman being joined together in a life long union. Most people think that this Marriage union is created through a man dressed in black and woman dressed in white walking down an aisle to be joined together before some kind of altar. But this is only a ceremony of marriage. The Bride and bridegroom are actually joined together through what is known as consummation, or proper sexual relations.  Thus, St Paul can even talk in reference to a marriage bed.
