Saints Win! Saints Win!

Yes, the Saints won the super bowl. The one game a year where all the united States are gathered together to worship the great American Sport. Whether you come for the commercials or for the game you worship in front of the television. You wait for the Champion to lift up the Idol everyone has chased after all year. Now I am sure you have heard people talk about the Idolatry of the NFL or Football. But I do want to clarify my statement of the great American Sport.

Football is the great American Sport because in every other country this is referenced as American Football. Other Countries call it American Football because real Football is played with a round ball and you are not allowed to use your hands. In the United States rather than Football this is called Soccer. But on to something more important.

Saints Win! Now you may think I am talking about the Football team. But I am not. The Saints Win because Christ is dead. Jesus Christ pays the price for our sins. In his death we have the Victory won. Jesus is our quarterback who leads us into the end zone. He leads us into death. Then he leads us into life. He takes us from death to life. The Victory is won. Saints Win! The score may not be 31-17 and we are not defeating the Colts. Christ has claimed the Victory for our lives. He has died so that we may live. If you have not got it yet. It is the Holy Saints who we pray for every Sunday morning (or I would hope you do).

We pray for all the people of God and all those in need everywhere. We pray for the saints to remain in the true faith. We also pray for the Saints to encourage others to see the Father in Heaven. Jesus Christ has won the Victory so that we may all be welcomed at our Father's Table. The Lamb of God has paid the price. The Victory is won. Saints Win! Devils Lose! (Not talking about the Blue Devils either.)

Biblical Marriage

Marriage is defined in Genesis as a man clinging to his wife and the two becoming one flesh. This definition is standardized even in the New Testament by both Jesus and St Paul. Therefore, we have generally said Marriage is defined as one Man and one Woman being joined together in a life long union. Most people think that this Marriage union is created through a man dressed in black and woman dressed in white walking down an aisle to be joined together before some kind of altar. But this is only a ceremony of marriage.
