Is Christmas a Celebration of Light

You may note from before there are some confusions of the seasons of the Church year. The Season of Light should not be Christmas but Epiphany. The Light of the World does shine in us as Christ dwells with us. But this is the time of Epiphany. One should with joy and pleasure celebrate not just two days of the year but the many seasons of the Year.

Now we look to the Lord during the season of Epiphany. The Light of the World has come to give us his light and to shine in our hearts. As the Christ candle is lit on Christmas let it remain the Light of our World until the days of Lent. Then again as his light is raised from the dead on Easter may it shine for us. The Light of the world is dwelling with his people.

Gettysburg of Abortion (South Dakota)

Biblical Marriage

Marriage is defined in Genesis as a man clinging to his wife and the two becoming one flesh. This definition is standardized even in the New Testament by both Jesus and St Paul. Therefore, we have generally said Marriage is defined as one Man and one Woman being joined together in a life long union. Most people think that this Marriage union is created through a man dressed in black and woman dressed in white walking down an aisle to be joined together before some kind of altar. But this is only a ceremony of marriage. The Bride and bridegroom are actually joined together through what is known as consummation, or proper sexual relations.  Thus, St Paul can even talk in reference to a marriage bed.
