The Host of Angels Sing

There are many (maybe many is too much) times when Angels gather to sing. You find Angelic Hosts singing in Isaiah Chapter 6. You find Angels as well as the entire gathering of Heaven in Revelation. Is this "heavenly host" the entire company of heaven or just a band of Holy Angels?

Here it may not be that important to distinguish between the two. But to distinguish between truth and hope people visualize this event. Some times we see just a great light across the sky. Other times there is a heavenly Choir. Yet, sometimes we lose this idea all together and just have Gabriel saying this. (More people can make the words less clear.)

But what words do they truly say? "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to …" Is peace given to all mankind, God desires all to be saved? Is peace given to his elect only, those on whom his favor rests? Is peace only given to few chosen or to the many that are called? Now comes another idea to ponder does it only offer peace on Earth?

The Glory of God is given or provide for all the earth. Every nation and tongue should confess the name of our LORD. God sent is only son not to condemn the World but to save the World. The gift of his death and Resurrection is free to all.

But Jesus also tells us many are called and few are chosen. God pours out his spirit on many but only few do not harden their hearts towards it. These few will only find true peace. Is Peace truly only found on Earth? Peace is found with God and he is with us all. Peace is found in the Emmanuel (God with us).

The Host of Angels come to proclaim the peace of God. The Glory of God has come into the flesh. The Host of Angels comes to sing praise to God for this great gift. God has given this gift to all but many are called and only few are chosen.

    A Holiday Thought...

    Aren't humans amazing? They kill wildlife - birds, deer, all kinds of cats, coyotes, beavers, groundhogs, mice and foxes by the million in order to protect their domestic animals and their feed.

    Then they kill domestic animals by the billion and eat them. This in turn kills people by the million, because eating all those animals leads to degenerative - and fatal - health conditions like heart disease, stroke, kidney disease, and cancer.

    So then humans spend billions of dollars torturing and killing millions more animals to look for cures for these diseases.

    Elsewhere, millions of other human beings are being killed by hunger and malnutrition because food they could eat is being used to fatten domestic animals.

    Meanwhile, few people recognize the absurdity of humans, who kill so easily and violently, and once a year send out cards praying for "Peace on Earth."

    I am sorry to say this, but I don't think peace on Earth can be found without Christ. Christ is the one who breaks down the dividing wall of Hostility (Eph 2). This would just be a further illustration to my point, people use Christmas to celebrate all kinds of things. Maybe I should have included a section called Peace on Earth.

    People need to learn that we are not to Celebrate Mary, Joseph, Angels, or Peace on Earth but the Holy Incarnation of our LORD who humbles himself to be born for the purpose of saving his people from their sins (Matthew 1).

Biblical Marriage

Marriage is defined in Genesis as a man clinging to his wife and the two becoming one flesh. This definition is standardized even in the New Testament by both Jesus and St Paul. Therefore, we have generally said Marriage is defined as one Man and one Woman being joined together in a life long union. Human Reason is Faulty

The Confessors of the Augsburg Confession recognize another important lesson of which many easily lose sight. "They condemn the Pelagians and others who deny that the original fault is sin and who, in order to diminish the glory of Christ's merits and benefits, argue that human beings can be justified before God by their own powers of reason." Others may say by any use of their mental faculties or even their own decision. When you deny originl fault effects your reason or mental faculties you deny original fault or sin. If human beings claim any power for their own Justification they deny original sin or Fault. But our Human Reason is completely Corrupt.
